Lost my gecko eggs...

Lucien Aug 16, 2003 01:28 AM

I lost my last 2 clutches of eggs thanks to the power outages... we only were out for like 10 hrs... but the incubator crept up to 110-120 degrees.. One egg is already going orange and sticky.. the others.. I'm not sure of yet... I'll have to wait and see.. They were at 110 for at least 8 hrs... so I doubt any of them will survive.. I lost one clutch previously when my AC quit working and the heat was only up for like.. 3 hrs in the house.. so... it looks like I'll have to wait till next year now for more hatchlings.

I'm so sorry to hear that. The power outtages messed me up with my eggs too, but i had to try to keep them warm, which was pretty easy but kept me up till the power came back. Hope things work out for you next season!
