I have been waiting for a while for the Boa Bug to bite. I have kept several Boa types over the years but never really got excited about Red Tails. I guess you could say that I was Green with envy for my Green Tree Pythons. I had been into Pythons for such a long time that I never expected to get bit by the Boa Bug as hard as I did. Well guess what people, I'm finally excited about keeping Boas. I have this pair that I will be attempting to breed this fall. Please don't knock me for the poor pics, I just got these guys last fall, the weather did'nt really cooperate and I'm still trying to figure out what works best with this first generation digital camera I still have. As soon as I get some free time on a nice sunny day, I will get new pics to share with everyone. Until then, enjoy these for what they are.

This first pic is of my female. She wouldn't keep still so I couldn't get a good picture of all of her.

Female Red/Orange Hypo

This next picture is one of the only outdoor shots I got last fall. This is my Salmon Male.

Salmon Male

This is the back-up hitter. He's Het Stripe to boot.
Albino Male

I should be getting around to getting a website up sometime this summer.

Very nice, Chris!
Where'd you get them?
The hypo looks familiar...

Hey Voodoo, the Female Hypo, Male Albino and a group of 5 females pos het for stripe and albino came from a guy on the east coast. I'd tell you his name but he was going thru a rough situation trying to help a family member out. He was selling a lot of his stock to help make ends meet. So I really don't wan't to get him out in the open too much. Anyway, at the time, both the hypo and the salmon male were available from different sources. I spoke to both individuals and had each of the purchases pending on the other. I saw a lot of potential in the pairing and didn't want to end up with one and not the other. So things worked out and I now have two incredible animals. I can't wait to get some pics outside with each of them and a few with both of them in the same pic. Anyway, I'm not as good with names as I wish I was and since my computer had to be completely reformatted, I lost most of the information I had stored on the purchase. If I had to go in depth, you probably would know who the individual is. He also had the albino and pos hets at the same time and threw an offer at me for them that I couldn't refuse. He also offered me a trio of hypos het for sunglow but I was trying to conserve cash for a few other animals that I really needed for some other projects (Tigers and Jags). Anyway, I currently have about 60 individuals (heavy on the carpet side). As soon as I can get new pics I wil get them posted. I just hope I can get her large enough for a small litter later thes year.
