EGGS!!!!!!!!!!

phiber_optikx May 31, 2007 02:41 AM

Either someone is laying eggs or there are 3 big white turds in there with several more to go..... The first may be a dud. It is about 2" long and very thin. The second one was much shorter and a lot fatter. I was lucky enough to watch her lay that one. It only took about 15 minutes. If she keeps up at this rate I will be up all night waiting to count them Now the wait begins.....

So far we have 12-13. I hope she is done so I can get some sleep! She is THIN! But it was her choice to stop eating 4 weeks ago..... She's been in the nest box for probably 3 weeks now. I bet she will be happy to be done with this and rest!

Hey Bud, Congrats on the eggs!!!

You had me worried there for a while during breeding season... You mentioned that she is thin and as you know that's normal.. But, what i do is alternate meals of large rat pups and mice dusted with calcium powder after egg deposition and most of my girls bounce back in a couple of weeks.

Good luck with incubation!!
