Shopping List

Hi everyone. I'm just going to be doing some shopping for my new bearded dragon. Hoping to get some advance on brands, etc.

-Mercury Vapor Bulb- Zoo-Med PowerSun
-10" ceramic dome
-Calcium with Vitamin D3-Rep-Cal
-Herptivite-Rep-Cal
-Juvenile bearded dragon food-Rep-Cal
-2 LCD thermometers- Zoo-Med

Am I missing anything? I plan on using a rock as a feeding dish. I'll have to be creative with that. As far as I understand, I can soak them twice a week with an occassional mist and not have a water bowl? Also, can ideas as to what wattage I should get for the mercury vapor bulb? I'll be using a 20 gallon tank and than upgrading to a 55 gallon or a metal trough depending on how creative I want to get. I will be using paper towels until my bearded dragon gets larger. After that, I will be using white silica "play sand". My last question is that my bearded dragon will be 3 months old. Is that considered a baby or a juvenile? And how much crickets should he be eating at that time?

Also, is reptile depot a reliable place to order everything from? If not, does anyone have any other mail order place they'd recommend?

Hi there,
I use the mercury Vapour bulbs at 100watts. I have found that I have had to take them out of the viv as the viv was getting far too hot. This viv I am talking about is 6 foot long, 2 foot high and 2 foot deep. Its summer over here in the UK and the viv has been getting far too hot. You should bare that in mind when using those bulbs over what size viv to use.
