whoopps...the news didn't call them monitors, they referred to them as viscious meat eating reptiles! Run....it's Godzilla!
This actually all really is sad... That bill that has the giant constrictor and Nile monitor restrictive laws may pass- Mike
I agree it is sad....But I can't put all the blame on the media. I would put the majority of the blame on the irresponsible owners that get "cool" reptiles and when they get to big to handle they just let them go in the wild. I'm not totally against the bill though. Since people are being so irresponsible with their reptiles if they let them lose in the wild and their Monitor, anaconda, python or what not contirbutes to the destruction of local ecosystems then their should be a way to track the reptiles back to its original owner and make them pay fines for their irresponsibility.
