Hey tbrock and Terry......Meahlly?

or at least it appears to be meahlly to me. I traded a wc copperhead for her. The copperhead came from a illegal dump site that is going to be bulldosed to make way for a new Lowes. She is a female, has 45 large saddles counting all the way to the tip of the tail and only 31 counting saddles to the vent. You can also see the smaller amount of ventral checkering as well. I was told by the previous owner that she was wc but he could not tell me from what locale. He purchased her from the Reptile Show here in Richmond this past winter/spring.

Sure looks like meahllmorum from here, and if truly wc, I don't think it likely to be anything else. The ventral checks are a bit different in shape from the ones I usually see in my area, but this means nothing as they are variable in every way - and probably from a different locality. Those dorsal blotch counts are good for meahllmorum and P. g. slowinskii, but it does not look like slowinskii to me. Very nice looking snake too, and I like the colors and nice, clean pattern.

Btw, guess who's laying eggs right this moment....? I'll get a photo on when she's done.

Looks like it could be a meahlly to me. Can't really be positive from a photo though.
