Locality ?

maxrr May 31, 2007 05:11 PM

So what would be the proper locality to find a mate for my recent find? I found him off Dolan Creek Rd which is off 277, 3 miles North of Loma Alta. So I was thinking Loma Alta?

277 or Juno Rd. would be close enough = there isn't much difference in the genetics between the two locations.

From that area have been called 277s. Dolan or Dolan Falls could also be an accepted locality. Both are nice snakes...

Congrats,

Thanks, so how do I go about finding a female for the Alterna phase, besides in the field of course? Know of anyone that has a good one to pair him up with?

Thanks John. BTW, did you get my email a few days ago? The first one I sent didn't go through, just wanted to make sure I got through on the other...

Max, I thought you said you had field collected it near your campsite. I didn't realize you caught it on the road. Cool!! Good job.

Wayne, I didn't find them on the Rd...I hiked some areas off Dolan Creek Rd. I did find some other cool snakes on that road, Juv Bairds, adult Coachwhip, Juv Coral to name some...

That is what I thought I had read the first time! I see then, it was other snakes from the road. That makes better sense as well!
