Got my first blood!

drummagirl May 21, 2003 05:25 PM

Well Tuesday morning around 9:00 i recieved my first blood python. All i can say is "WOW!!" She honestly took my breath away when i first saw her! I recieved her from Will Leary at Reptilicus Reptiles, and i must say he is an excellent buisness man. He was extremly helpful and even called to make sure she got to me ok. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and i'm very excited to consider myself a blood python'er!! sorry i don't have any pics! have a good day everyone,

carole

Isn't it the coolest thing in the world? Beats any ball phase any day! The only problem with bloods is lack of personality...
If I could give my Blood my baby Carpet's outgoing, fiesty personality, then I would probably have the ultimate, most perfect snake alive.

Out of the three bloods I have my biggest black blood has a good personality. The other two, should get better with age.But I don't think I be a judge of this as I've only been a keeper for a little over a year now, but I try to stay on top of things.

Oh yeah, my Blood is sweet, and never wants to bite. He just fed and I picked him up (in feeding mode, and to get him out of the feeding container) and didn't even so much as hiss. But when you hold them, they just sit there. Like they're waiting to be squished or something. Its pretty sad, so I take extra care of my blood :/

I think one of the reasons I got my blood is because my carpets are a little TOO fiesty, they always want to end up tangled up in something. The blood is truely a snake one can sit and watch TV with.
