Eggs (pics)

phiber_optikx May 31, 2007 11:14 PM

Snapped a few quick pics of the eggs while moving them to the incubation box. None were stuck together but it was maybe 25-30 minutes between eggs so maybe they dried before they could stick together? Total of 12 good(ish) eggs. The one egg in the middle was the first and looks like a giant mike n' ike. Not sure if that one is good but it is still white.... Some have a small barely visible brown/yellow spot about the size of a dime that you can kind of see in the pictures. All look good overall and haven't gotten any worse. Hope that they stay good and that they all hatch healthy. Time for the long wait If only Hope would lay!

I hate to bring bad news... But, in my opinion all of those eggs are bad..

Of course keep them in the cooker to be sure but they look yellow and wet to me.. Which is not good.

I was actually just getting ready to post that. Molly laid a perfect clutch of 12 duds. This was my first clutch and I thought that since they all looked the same that they were good. But I was wrong. I will keep them for a few more days just in case but I candled them and still no veins. Maybe Hope will come through for me still. She has been looking around like crazy.

they are duds.......keep them for your own sake but yea....they are duds........(I got like close to 150 duds so far this year so .....yea....it suxx).....(260 good so far...hundred balls pluss to go too).......

.........girl too fat? male not cooled? male cooled? (both ways can kill sperm count)....

....I brought males up 2 weeks ahead of girls to feed them before they smelled the females and got some food in them and 2 weeks will help them build sperm count up awhile........

......I use 2 males per female when possible........and have thinned out my females alot........

........good luck

He was cooled. He was cooled from Thanksgiving to Valentines day. Don't know what happened. The female is probably much older than I suspected.... Neither were fat.

I was thinking they all looked bad as well, but didn't want to spoil things for you!
Hope the next clutch is better.

My thoughts, too, Misty. I didn't really want to be the bearer of bad news, either. It happens, that's for sure. :D
