het pied marker... the "i" s have it?

chonjoepython Jun 01, 2007 02:11 AM

anyone with het pieds please check this out. look at your snakes eyes. my het pieds are completely unrelated, one from NERD, and one from an unknown fella. anyway, both of these snakes have VERY silvery eye stripes. that is to say that the top half or third of the eye is silver. VERY NOTICEABLE. it can not be captured by pics. believe me, ive tried. let me know if you have seen this trait. btw, none of my other snakes have this silver eye. i own het ghosts, normals, and a spider.
thoughts welcome and appreciated.

Btw, did you release the guy in the pic, or are you hanging onto him? I've never seen one with blue like that. Very handsome!

The silver eye stripes are fairly normal - I got a bunch of captive hatches this year that have them - and a few normals from previous years.

Here's one where the silver really came out in the pict:

i just found it wierd that of the six bps i have only the het pieds have the silver eyes. ive never really looked for it at swaps and such. btw heat, that blue garter is still here and will be for a long time. i even named him (something i never do with my snakes) BB King. get it? the blues.
thanx.

I noticed it with mine too. Mine look like they have retained thier eye-caps.
