I found this little guy the last week in January in Palm Spring, CA back in the late 90's I think. I found him brumating under a board on a trail.
I went back the following year and found the skeleton of a second desert ig under the same board.
I kept the lizard for a while before he developed paralysis in his hind legs. I sent him to dvl to keep in his pen so he could at least enjoy some outdoors.
They are really cool lizards,
