So I've been breeding my own mice from almost the start of the year. I got my mice from PetSmart as I like to use "fancy" mice instead of the albinos. Anyways one of my petsmart mice females has actually started giving me long haired mice (so cute when fur rubbed wrong). The same female who gived me long furred mice has also started to give me whiskerless mice. They have just a patch of pink flesh where whiskers should be. Has anyone had anyhting like this? I'll try and get some pics sometime if anyone wants to see.

I got two cream colored mice from petco and a silver satin longhair... come to find out, those creams were really Tans if you looked closely. The babies were gorgeous. One tan, 5 black foxes and 4 chinchilla foxes. In a litter from one of those babies, I wound up with two chinchilla longhairs..one has a blaze on the head.

The "whisker less" mice have actually been what is called barbared by another mouse. This means that they will lick/grrom the fur off of other mice. Usually the mouse that has whiskers is the barbarer.
