Female trinkets get to around 5 foot whereas males are smaller and only reach approx 3 foot. They will eat rodents in captivity ..

There a tropical species and will breed all year round with multiple clutches being produced, average about 4 clutches with 4-8 eggs per clutch .. you don't neccessarily have to reintroduce the male either as the female will store sperm and can produce up to four fertile clutches from the one mating. The eggs are torpedo shaped and hatch after approx 60-80 days @ 80-84F

Hatchlings are easy to rear and usually take defrost pinkies after there first slough and they grow quiet quickly, the males can breed in there second year but it's wise to leave the female until she's in her third. Once they start breeding it's difficult to stop them.

Great info Sue! They seem like very interesting captives - didn't know they could produce so many clutches from one breeding! I might have to get some of these in the future also.
