okay so anyhow i wanted to look for banded geckos and similar species in so. cali or nearby. i heard right now is a good time to do it. i thought it might be fun to camp and herp for my b-day that just past. does anyone know where the best place near so. ca would be? i have to go soon as the summer semester is almost here. thanks! im sorry if this is not the right forum.

Anza Borrego State park is good. Just carry your camera and no collecting equipment.
If you want to collect don't go inside the park, just areas around it.

have you ever been and what part of the park? do you suggest nature trails? hiking trails? or just paved roads at early night? thanks for your reply.
