Need some help on a new tank setup!

Hey all. I just got a 55 gallon aquarium from a friend who no longer wanted it taking up space in his shed. I have my male and female leo's and thought that it would be a great idea to put them in one divided tank. That's where I run into problems. I don't know where to get a tank divider. I also can't seem to find heat tape? Right now I am just using u.t.h.'s on there current tanks. Is it hard to set up the heat tape? Where do you find it. Would it be the best thing to use on this aquarium? The aquarium itself measures about 4 feet long and a foot wide. So how wide is heat tape? Would it cover to much area if I had it running the length of the tank? I really want to give these fuys a neat set up they deserve it. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks all!!!!

Jesse

you might be able to get a tank divider at Petco or some place like that or a specialty aquarium store. if not, you can go to home depot and get some glass cut to size and you can fit it into place with aquarium sealant (just make sure you give it at least a few days to dry properly) and then wash the tank before you start to set it up.
i would just use 2 UTHs on a single rheostat since you might need to wire the heat tape yourself and it would be much easier to just use the UTHs. good luck!!!
