New BRB's Again!

run26neys Jun 01, 2007 06:23 PM

I figured it out - I do not have a snake problem, but rather FedEx has a sanke delivery problem.

Today two animals from Mike Lockwood arrived.

The first pic is a 100% het for hypo female, known as ML06.08 with Mike. The second is a 66% Poss het for hypo female, known as ML06.15 with Mike.

I still have to get names for these two, in fact I still have to name the two delivered last week.

Buying snakes is easy to decide, but I am thinking about selling a 06 female and it is a much harder decision.

By the way - these two were the first two that did not want to bite at all when they came out of their shipping box.

Great lookin BRB's, Mike produces some really nice babies. Part of the biting thing is these are 2006 babies, 9 or 10 months old. And Mike only has been taking care of them for all that time so they are used to handling. A baby on the other hand....chomp!

I agree, but my 11 month old spotted pythons were just plain nasty when I unpacked them. They are starting to clam down, but I feel they have hardly ever been handled before I got them.

I just feel that being shipped priority overnight does not make snakes happy(even nice ones).

Love the second pic of the female, nice colored crescents and the head markings look really cool

I am very happy with this animal, as it is a 66% possible het for Hypo. Thus, if it is not het for hypo - at least I still have a very nice animal - that would be perfect for my Jeff Clark male. If it is a het for hypo, my EBN 100% het for hypo male is also a nice animal. I can not wait till all of these 06 animals are ready for breeding.....

First...awesome new arrival!!!

Next,

I have a problem getting rid of any snake I have had in my collection for even a small period of time, if one makes a "conscience" decision to buy something, unless the animal was misrepresented, they should keep it for the duration. I have had "pros" improperly sex animals and I even still kept them, which obviously is the extreme I would not recommend one adopts as "habit".

The female I was thinking of getting rid of came along with a 100% het for hypo male. I have had her a week, and she did not initially impress me. She is sweet and docile, and would give me normal babies a year yearlier, as my normal female is an 07.

She is now saved by the shed. I just pulled open her moss pit and she is blue. Thus, I sprayed a tad bit more water on the moss and put he back into her cage. At least now I have time to decide. I am going to a show tomorrow, where I was thinking of bring her along to possibly sell.

Very cool! When I get that kind of cash, I want to add one of his beautiful hypos to my collection. It may be a while though, as flying is also an expensive hobby!

In a few years I should be able to supply with a hypo. Plus, the snake would not have to be shipped.
