Decided to try my luck this week since the rains had stopped. Went to "that road that everyone hunts but doesn't refer to by name".

Wednesday night -
- clear, bright moon, 80° at sunset, 72° at midnight
- not one single snake, a few Scaph. couchi, and some Scelop. merriami and poinsetti on cuts. Syrrhophus calling.

Thursday night -
- blue moon
- partly cloudy, SE breeze/wind, humid
- very snakey feeling night
- 10 atrox and one pissed off yearling bogey. This seemed odd to me. I rarely find that many atrox in this area relative to other species (i.e. if there are going to be 11 snakes, only 2-3 will be atrox)
