How long does Ovulation last? I guess what I really want to know is how long does that "she looks like she just ate a softball" look last?

Weeks ago, I noticed she was very full and since I could feel what I thought were eggs, and she had not eaten, I figured she was gravid and I missed ovulation. In the last week or so the fullness has concentrated into one mass, and I can't really feel any individual eggs.

Could it be that what I thought was ovulation weeks ago was actually follicle growth and she is just going through the ovulation process now? The mass is very noticable and larger than what the pic shows. She shed 41 days ago btw.

Any thoughts? Being an orange ghost and my first breeding, I am very concerned as you might imagine.

I'd say it's very possible. I got tricked by follicle growth as an ovulation like 2 or 3 times this season. That definitely looks like an ovulation. I think your wait more than likely begins again. Enjoy. And congratulations too. Nice female.
