Your chances are slim to none for a CB. It isn't that they are difficult to breed - they aren't. But the babies can be a real pain to get onto mice, and even some adults prefer lizards, although the adults are easier to switch.
Longnose are truly beautiful, but as captives they can be more shy than most kingsnakes and as stated tougher to feed mice to when young, so they get ignored by most herpers.
Wildcaughts are more common. I don't know what the laws are in Texas regarding longnose, but I would bet someone in Texas cannot legally sell WC's or legally ship them out of state. Just a guess. True in Calif even though they get run over on the desert roads.

I have kept both Texas Longnosed and Mexican Longnosed (antoni). They are easy to keep and breed, but the babies can be a pain to get on pinkies. They will switch over and when they do they are as easy to keep as any kingsnake.
I think they reason they aren't more popular is because of the troublesome babies.
You can find cb Mexican Longnose (antoni) in captivity sometimes, but I don't know that I have ever seen a cb TX Longnose.
Here's a pretty little orange one I found in San Angelo one night. I almost kept it because it had so much orange.

For anyone who's dealt w/ babies, what & how did you feed them? I'm guessing lizard tails. Going out to the desert this weekend for the ARC2007 thing. While everyone else will be looking for Rosy Boas I hope to see a Longnose or 2.
