Been seeing lots of female snappers and painteds roaming and raided nests. Here's a shot of a snapper laying from last year.

Awesome! Have you been back out? I haven't. I did go to serpent safari yesterday though!

How'd you like SS? I've been away visiting a friend in Hayward -- saw lots of female painters up presumably to nest. Looked for but couldn't find any snakes up there but one garter. Found 2 smooth green snakes near the Dells on my way back though. I'll have to post some pics -- they're really beautiful little snakes. Here's a scarlet king found in FL a few springs back.

SS was really cool, I could live there. You are so lucky! Hayward is awesome! My husband and I went up there with his famiy a couple times for fishing. This year they are going to Rhinelander in two weeks- I can't go with. I might be able to go for a day or two, but I'm afraid to drive it alone. I would love to see some smooth greens. Nice pics- keep them coming!
