Spilotes Pics

Billyboy Jun 03, 2007 07:36 AM

Here's a few pics of my adult Tiger Rats after chowing down on 3 small rats each. I got them both a little over 2 months ago and they are doing fantastic now. Both are taking f/t prey items off tongs for me and are reasonably handlable, though flighty.

Enjoy!

Good to hear that they doing well and eating f/t now. They were a great looking pair when I saw them and I am sure you will get awesome looking babies from them.

Thanks Roy. Yeah, they have turned out to be total pigs. Keeping my fingers crossed for some eggs next season.

How are those BT's doing?

The blacktails are doing great. Both have shed twice now and are growing like weeds.

Nice snakes! I've never had the "banded" types, all mine are the "speckled" variety. Here's a little breeding tip from me (at least its worked for me many times) when brumating, keep them dry as in no spraying. When its time for the warm-up, wait until about 5 days of nice warm temps and spray the crap out of them. W/my adults, the reaction is almost electric! A heavier setting as opposed to a fine mist is good too and I warm-up the water as well.
