pooing/digesting ??

snailqueen87 Jun 03, 2007 08:57 AM

My snake has always been very 'regular', pooing usually 2 or 3 days after feeding but now it take take up to 5-6 days. The temps haven't changed, nor has the food size so I was just wondering if this was anything to be concerned about? I've also noticed that when she does eventually poo it smells a lot worse than it used to, is she maybe having difficulty digesting it?
Thanks for any info.

Well, if you haven't changed anything at all then that usually means something changed with her.... If it is extremely runny and smelly it could be a protozoan infection. That is highly unlikely however. If you are worried about her though then take her to a vet. If it is something along those lines then they will just prescribe flagyl for you and she will be fine in a few weeks.
