no..
If i'm not mistaken, eucalyptus can be toxic to most reptiles.
I will look this up but it seems I read that somewhere.
not to mention pines, furs, cedars and other evergreens can be bad as well.
I would stay away from it

Try it instead of your old litter...you’ll notice a refreshing change!

Ok.. if you are saying that the snake sneezes on anything but paper towels...i guess i would say that you should go with... Paper towels.. or newspaper if that works.

I'm with Mike on this one...If it sneezes on anything other then paper towels then paper towels would be your best bet.
It's kind of odd that it would have trouble with aspen shavings.
I have had no problems with any of my snakes on aspen.
By the way...packaging for repti sand says it is safe for snakes as well....I wouldn't use that for any of my snakes or even my bearded dragons.
They print that on their product to sell it. You don't think they would label it with the truth (this stuff could cause respiritory and other problems in reptiles) do you?
be safe don't use it.

I use a T-Rex product called Desert Snow. Its basically Carefresh, which is cheaper anyway. I never liked the aspen, or paper towels because my corn likes to burrow. Its really just paper anyway. However it probably still has dust in it which I'm guessing is what makes your corn sneeze? (I didn't even know they could sneeze). Just a suggestion.

Personally, I go with experience over package labels. I've been reading these forums for years and it's always been the same trustworthy substrates here. The best I've ever used is paper towels. The news print would discolor my corns skin, so I stopped using it, because he aways looked like he'd been playing in the mud and didn't get a proper bath. When he was on just aspen, he'd burrow in it and turn everything in his tank upside down just because he could. Now he's on half paper towels and half aspen. He sleeps in his hide on the aspen most of the day and at night he curls up on the paper towels. when he's sheddng he's always on the paper towels but he also spills some of his water onto the towels when he's shedding. Not sure if he does that on purpose or not, but he does it faithfully every single time he sheds.
If I were you, I would stick to the paper towels as your snake prefers those and has trained you to know what his preferences are.
Good luck, Izora
