Western Hog breeding question

CFlowers Jun 03, 2007 12:02 PM

Is it better to put the male in with the female or female with male? I have had my pair together and the female just ran away from the males atempts. so now they have been sperated. So who should be introduced to who? And how old is to old for hogs to breed?
THANKS CHRIS
GOD BLESS

Chris, I have always heard to introduce the females to the males enclousure. It is easier for him to find her using the pheromones.

As far as her running away. give it a few days and try again. If putting her in the males cage doesn't work, then reverse it. Every snake is different, so what works for one will not necessarily work for another.

Good luck and God Bless back!
