This is hades, a while back he escaped from his previous cage (rubbermaid) and got himself a pretty bad scratch/cut on his head. It's been healling very slowly but surely, it's not as deep and is still in the process of closing up. I dont alow him to soak much to try to keep his wound dry to help it heal but i have upped the humidity some to accumulate for that, has had a perfect shed since, he's about 6-6 1/2 ft long and eatting XL rats weekly. since this accident i got him an AP cage that's 78x30x18 with radiant heat pannels and belly heat, he seems to love the cage he likes to roam but has some plastic hides for him to feel secure in when he's not

Here's some pics of him, and yes i do have hides for him they just werent in while taking pics
This is when he first scratched his head (poor guy)

and here are some just random pics

this last one you can see the cut a little as it's been healling some

don't worry about the wound, it will heal up just fine, but may leave a pink/whitish scar. It may go away all together with time. I had a reticulated python with a comparable injury and after 12 years the scar went away altogether, although his wound was slightly deeper and also prey related, way back when, ( 80's ) I never considered feeding f/t rodents, I either bred my own or worked in a pet store ( worked for feeders as a lad )

It will be just fine!!!
