What caging do you guys prefer

I need to buy new cages for my adult bloods. They are in a vision rack right now and they need to be in a cage that are twice as long. Anyone here have a favorite cage?

For me, Animal Plastics T-10 cages (4' x 2' x 15"h) have been the way to go. They maintain a nice humidity level without being wet/stagnant (I order extra vents on the back panel), retain heat well, and give my adult bloods room to really be comfortable. The guys/gals over at AP are professionals in every sense of the word, from excellent customer service to just making a great product that they stand behind. I love having stacks of pristine white cages, and being able to walk in, peek under some paper & see my bloods acting very content. These cages are sturdy & hold up well to the big, heavy bodied bloods & STP's. The plastic is easy to clean & disinfect, and with all of the different sizes & options that AP offers, you're bound to find something that suits your exact application.

Yes, you can get cheaper cages, and you can also spend a lot more for "Cadillac" cages like Habitat Systems (which are excellent, too). If you're a budget-conscious herper (like me!) who wants extremely good value, good caging and good customer service (and some extra $$$ left over to buy some cool snakes), I personally think you can't beat Animal Plastics for all of the above. I've used a variety of caging & rack systems over the years, and am having my best results with AP's, from hatchling racks to adult enclosures.

Here's a pic I need to update, as this wall is now finished out, but these are 3 stacks of AP T-10's. I get them in white with belly heat, extra vents, glass doors, locks & casters. They RULE!

Just my $2.00 (includes fuel surcharge).

I have recently ordered 2 VE 175 racks from Animal Plastics for my bloods and I have other cages from them and there stuff is great!

I also agree with Kara 110%, their customer service is top notch and Mark is a great guy, willing to help at every point along the way. I could not be happier with their products or customer service. They are true professionals in every aspect of the word.

Good luck in your selection of caging (you cannot go wrong with AP).

Hope this was helpful.

I like to make my own cages. You can build a 4'x2' out of 3/4" plywood or melamine for under $100 and a couple hours of work, compared to buying a cage for $250 and up. Then I can spend the $200-$300 I saved on the cage to buy more snakes lol.
