ok so I've been busy and on top of that my computer crashed well I got it fixed and here are some pics, local common critters on the move

midland painted turtle nesting

eastern milksnakes

grey treefrog

ok and thats it for laround here, I went camping last week in the adirondack mtns in hamilton county NY and had a blast being eaten by bugs and herping inbetween

first up the snakes well the snake didn't want to post 30 pics of similar looking eastern garters

usually see some redbelly snakes there, not this year it really shines with amhibian life and I look forward to finding as many kinds as possible

northern twolined sal

and a mtn dusky

this was a cool pic for me redback and eggs

red spotted newt efts were everywhere

and one lone adult

i'm 99% sure this was a northern dusky

the best sals are last usually I find a hand full of northern spring sals this year I found alot more, I atleast doubled what I've seen in my life so far

ok sals are done all thats left is the froggies, nothing really signifiigant but oh well, I looked fior a milk frog and struck out again but managed to find a ton of wood frogs

also saw a lil spring peeper

and way TMTC american toads

also saw but not photoed were
TMTC green frogs

turtles are starting to nest so I'll make a big fat boring post of them laying eggs hope you enjoyed

Not boring at all. Neat find, the salamander with eggs. Also really liked the young eastern milk snake -- beautiful animal.
