Is this snake a Thayeri?? It's in a local pet shop.I could get this snake for almost nothing.It probed to be a female and they feed her so much ,she always looks like a sausage.Thanks!. Jeff

Look at the belly next time you are in there, maybe it is maybe it is more, maybe it isn't. Show a pic of the belly.

It looks like a Thayeri to me.. but, sometimes it's tough to tell.
With so many safe choices on the market today.. I did not know that anyone was still using corn cobb bedding with snakes anymore??..

I have a thayeri (or ruthveni or thayeri/ruthveni cross) that looks just like this one except for a zigzag on the back. Where is this snake located? I'm curious if it came from the same breeder. I got mine at Herpeton in Austin. They probed it and said they thought it was a male, but they weren't sure. I haven't had any luck breeding him to my female, though. Here are a few pics.
