MOONGLOW BOAS....HOW?

oldskool28 Jun 04, 2007 11:45 AM

I'm not in the Boa Community , but had owned a Jungle , and Normal previously in my 24 year stint owning boids . i'm curious nhow you get a moonglow Boa and what they look like .i thought i saw a comparison earlier in the forum between a moonglow and A lip stick sunglow .I"m assuming the Moon Glow is white with the white eyes . Extremely in terested in the genetics , thanks to anyone who takes the time .

Moonglow = Homozygous Kahl Albino, Homozygous Anerythristic, Heterozygous Hypomelanistic.

A Super Moonglow would be Homozygous Hypo.

Hey Rich...You look a little young in the pic...but hey It's great to have you here! LOLOLOL!!!

Great shot of you kid!

Like the others said...the MoonGlow is a Hypo-Albino-Anery all rolled into one animal!
The Normal Snows just lack the Hypo gene...

Imagine a huge female MoonGlow! The combos would seem endless!

Good luck Rich.

So let me try this...
Moonglow = Hypo snow

Hypo (Het Snow) x Snow = Moonglow ??????

im glad to see your little guy starting off right. I have my 6 yr old little girl getting into the reptiles too.
i used the genetics wizard (www.geneticswizard.com)to get the results of your hypo (het snow) x snow. Im only counting the hypo as a het not a super.

12.5% Het. ALBINO, Het. ANERY = DH SNOW
12.5% Het. ALBINO, Homozygous ANERY= ANERY HET SNOW
12.5% Homozygous ALBINO, Het. ANERY= ALBINO HET SNOW
12.5% Homozygous ALBINO, Homozygous ANERY= SNOW
12.5% Het. HYPO, Het. ALBINO, Het. ANERY= HYPO DH SNOW
12.5% Het. HYPO, Het. ALBINO, Homozygous ANERY= GHOST HET MNGLW
12.5% Het. HYPO, Homozygous ALBINO, Het. ANERY= SUNGLOW HET MNGLW
12.5% Het. HYPO, Homozygous ALBINO, Homozygous ANERY= MOONGLOW!

great numbers!

it's nice to see you are ensuring we will have future "Herpetologists" and or "Professional Breeders" in the future.
