Special Session for HB 12 possible anyway because of the amount of money to be appropriated.
Keep calling the Texas Governor and request the veto and special session, he is leaning that way anyway.
While you have the aid on the phone tell them you want the 2414 and 1309 language out of HB 12.
Now you have two complaints with HB 12....
1) The money is appropriated is all wrong - veto and special session to fix...
2) Sections 43 and 44 were defeated by amendment in the House unanimously - veto and special session to fix

Texas Parks is not thrilled with one part of this bill. Possesion of several historic sites is supposed to be transferred to the Texas Historical commission from Texas Parks.
Texas Parks is worried the the Historical commison will not have the funds to keep these places open. just another thing that needs to re-looked at.
