When are slugs not a bad thing??

BASICALLYBOAS Jun 04, 2007 04:59 PM

When you have a few Motley Het Sharps sitting right next to them!
One of our female Sharps that we had pegged to be a slugger surprised us today with a small litter of Motley Het Sharps and Hets. She never got very big, but did thermoregulate and hold the HCP all through out her gestation.
When she hit day 100 POS I told Steph that it would be great if she would just give us 5 or 6 babies, and sure enough she had 3 Motleys and 3 Hets on day 104.
All three have great patterns too!
These are going to be great for the Paradigm project!!!!

Thanks for looking!

Is "HCP" equal to "Heat Conservation Position" or "Heat Conservatory Position" ???/

one or the other seems logical.

Frank,
HCP is the abbreviation for "Heat Conservation Position" and was first coined by Jeff Ronne in his original article in Reptiles Magazine. I just think it is easier to refer to it as HCP, as POS is simpler then Post Ovulation Shed. ;E
