hey i posted in feb about the boa with a lump, and well, shes still got it, rads were not very helpful, except to think it may be in the stomach, and efforts to get her to regurge didnt work. its a lump at 44 inches down her body, she is 74 inches total. it is very movable up and down her body. the herp vet (not practiceing but helps out with phone calls) is thinking ovarian tumor and thats a death sentance in his mind. another vet who likes herps but not an expert things its a granuloma from rads (broken ribs in the area) the phone a vet will be doing an asparate for me tomorrow and im sending it off to path. i dont think he would come out of retierment to do Sx, and i cant afford the fees at the other docs place (big fancy referal place) the DVM i work for said hed go in and take a look, but her has no idea what hes doing, and i dont know herp anestesia, so im not much help.
sorry if my spelling is bad, ill admit, im just stressed and rambeling a bit. just looking for any ideas and some good mojo wouldnt hurt... hopefully the lab will not take to long, im going out of town tis weekend and so a Sx would have to wait till at least next week, but it would be nice to have an answer
any input would be appreceated!

I only remember this boa, not all the details, but with all said, don't count this critter out until a diagnosis is made. If I remember correctly, this snake isn't suffering or showing any major symptoms (?) so for now, you have time on your side.

If the aspirate is uneventfull, you can either proceed with further diagnostics or wait and see how this pans out. If it were me in your position, I'd keep the snake comfortable while saving up for an exploratory surgery while crossing my fingers this happens before the snake declines. The exploratory is really your best next diagnostic step IMO.

Good luck, I'm sure everything will sort itself out as it should
