Va. Eastern Garter

Here's a pic of my Hanover county Va. Eastern garter. His sides and dorsal stripe are quite a bit more yellow then the photo shows, thanks to the camera flash washing out his color. I'll take some outdoor pics at a later date. Steve

great looking snake Steve!! Did you see the Wandering Garters (or Wandering Terrestrial snakes) they had at F&F? I think they are a west coast species.

Thanks Ralph. Yes, I did see those. I think they have about four of them. Daniel at F&F told me they were T.elegans vagrans. (wandering garters)
