Indianapolis Zoo

I wish to publicly thank Jeff Snodgrass and Robert Sieb.

A week ago the Indianapolis Zoo accepted 1.1 06 Eastern Indigos from my facility here in Indiana. The process was long and stacked with paperwork and legal forums. A home visit from one of the reptile curators was made checking my facility and the health of my stock. I passed!!!

Jeff and Robert helped when phone calls were made by zoo administrators asking for references on me. Not sure what was said but the Zoo now has 1.1 Easternslol. Both of these guys have given me the best information on the care and breeding of the Eastern Indigo I could ask for.

Thank you Jeff and Robert….

The Zoo was very pleased with my donation and the quality of my reptiles. I feel I have opened a door here between Private Breeder and Zoo expert. I plan on maintaining this relationship for years to come with the donation of another pair next year.

Good job Dan. I will be looking forward to seeing some indigos at the zoo the next time I am there. I always thought they needed one at the indy zoo and now it looks like they might start a breeding program thanks to your donations.

The yearling pair is in quarantine up to 90 days. But I’m sure you could ask anyone of the Reptile Keeper’s what their status is. The babies were a big hit with the Indy Reptile Keeper’s.

The wife and I did get free passes to the Zoo. Wahoo!!! The donation was also in our local newspaper with an excellent story on the Indigo’s status. Just a good day for the Indigo…
