I dont think ive introduced myself properly

thegeckobarn Aug 16, 2003 02:44 PM

I think its about time I introduced myself properly here
I have been posting here off and on, my other screen name used to be Crystall, but I changed it once I had my website up.
I am 21 years old and live in San Antonio, Texas and have lived here for about 3 1/2 years.

Anyway..I, like everyone else here am facinated with leopard geckos, and love them to DEATH! But I honestly can say I am NOT an expert...as I dont believe there are or ever will be any since leos can be quite suprising, lol.

I have about 25-26 leos right now, and love them all so much. And I do my best to take proper care of them. I am also no expert with this either...I have had accidents, and I have learned things I did not know before. So its all a learning process for me, which I really enjoy

When people ask me questions, I admit..sometimes I dont know the answer. But I try to answer it based on my experience.
So I just dont want anyone here to take me as someone who thinks they know everything when I admit, I dont.

I know I take wonderful care of all of my geckos, I have only had one that has been sick, and I am still working with her.

I do not consider what I do to be a 'business'...it is simply a hobby. I would keep every gecko I produced if only I had the room, LOL. And I admit..sometimes I do get frightened that something that I say or do will scare people away from me (but thats just how I normally am, lol).

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know what I am about, and that I do this as a hobby, and not for profit.

If anyone wants to chat, just IM me on Yahoo or MSN, screen name lyzardgirl...or you can find me in mirc's #leopardgeckos chat server= irc.webchat.org. Im always eager to make new friends and talk geckos

Hi Crystal, nice to meet you! I'm still new around here too. We're the same age, except I only just started getting into leos over the summer. Right now I have three.

You have the cutest pictures on your website!

Hey there Crystal. Nice to meet you!!! I am only 19, but LOVE leos SO much. I currently have a 2 year old male (normal or high yellow.. not sure) and a 2 and a half MONTH old female(super hypo-tangerine carrot tail). I would have TONS more, but I am stil living with my parents, and since they HATE animals (except dogs) I am only allowed to have the three tanks (I have frogs too). Anywho, if you want to talk, I don't have yahoo or MSN, but I do have AOL (stuartsgurlie) or you could email me: monkey_makes_me_laugh@hotmail.com. I would LOVE to talk one on one to a fellow leo lover!!!!
