Cage Cleaning

What do you feel is the best way to thoroughly disinfect a glass tank and cage accessories in preparation for housing a new gecko? Bleach? Some special cleaner like WipeOut?

think i heard it's 1part bleach to 9parts water, 1:9, like 100ml bleach per 900ml of water is a safe solution, although i did a stronger solution, but i left it to rinse under the shower for 10 mins or so after the bleach was washed out. maybe try a reptile specific cleaner, but bleach will work just as good.

hope this helps

I use a hydrogen peroxide solution personally, I don't trust bleach around reptiles even in very small diluted amounts. I use the normal hydrogen peroxide that you can get a drug store, put it in a spray bottle in a 3:1 solution and it works out just fine and is always nice and clean.

Just my 2 cents

3 peroxide to 1 water or the other way around?
