GA. Peach lays 17 eggs! ! !

BlueKing Jun 05, 2007 07:00 PM

My South Georgia (Eastern) Kingsnake layed 17 eggs yesterday. Very nice sized clutch - with zero slugs!
The male I bred her to, has retained almost all of his orange from birth a (he's a 5 footer now). The female still has most of her orange as well (a little less than the male, the pic doesn't show it too well) and her bands are actually peach colored. This pair, (wich originated from Will Still stock ), produced orange/reddish mosaics, wide bandeds, dark ones, and even classic white, thin bandeds last year, so it will be exciting to see what comes out this year!
(In this pic she's laying #15 - she laid two more after this pic was taken.)

THANKS KEITH!

Hey - I went herpin' in da' sandhills yesterday with my son. Found a nice big 6 foot "Nasty-cophis" (coachwhip) near where you found that pinesnake, and a (gray banded) eastern hoggie crossing the road on the way home...
