typically have to wait until the female LAYS?
More specifically, for Hondurans only please.
Just wondering...because I have a gravid female that did her pre-lay shed on Friday, May 25th. In my limited experience with Hondurans I've had to wait 10 days at most(that would have been Sunday June 3rd).
Should I be concerned about egg binding at this point?

I have had female Hondos lay as soon as 5 days after pre-shed and as long as 18 days after pre-shed. After 21 days I try to help the eggs out or if that fails I insert a needle and suck the eggs contents out so she can pass them. I do not recommend you attempt either unless someone shows you how to do it. Take her to a Vet after 21 days.
Of course see what others have to say here first, that is just the way I handle it. Unfortuntely some animals do egg bind and die regardless of what we do.

It seems I was worried for nothing. I went out of town yesterday and my girlfriend checked on the snake last night and surprise...EGGS! So it turns out 13 days after her pre-lay shed and presto!
I thought I felt 8 eggs in her last week, but I figured some were slugs. This is her first time breeding (no brumation) and I didn't expect her to breed until next season.
I put her with a really clean ghost and she is an Amel het. Anery I got from Jeff Alloway a couple of years ago. I can't be more pleased with the turn out...8 great looking eggs!
