Dumerils Monitor Feeding ???

Sarge2004 Jun 06, 2007 06:34 AM

I have a young male Dumerils monitor. He is about 2.5 feet long, appears very healthy. A shy but steady eater and he is very tame with a great personality. When I got him he had been raised only on F/T small mice and that is all he will eat. What would be a better diet for him in addition to the mice? I do dust the mice with calcium. Thanks-Bill.

Try crawdads (aka mudbugs or crayfish). They are very cheap when in season (now). Look at Louisianacrawfishcompany dot com or a bunch of others from LA.
