It's only day 53 on this first clutch of the year~ but for some reason I decided to peak at them today! We have pippies!

actually~ I've been having some incubator issues~ so at different times they have been as low as 87F and as high as 92F~

I'm actually a little worried waiting for them to come out so I can have a look at them properly. There were 8 eggs in the clutch. One went bad right away~ another started to looking crappy about a week into incubation (molding and looking nasty) but was still alive. Day before yesterday I was pretty sure the nasty looking egg was dead~ but I left it anyway. This morning when I saw the little faces I went ahead and opened the nasty egg. It had a dead deformed baby in it~ fused to itself in two places. I'm really hoping the deformity is why the egg went bad and died~ and that the others are going to be fine.

I'll post more pics either way when they come out of the eggs.

Lips and Larry? Cheryl, I gave you the names and numbers of several highly qualified mental health professionals last year. Why haven't you called any of them? I guess it's betty than "monty" the python. E

Actually they only have numbers until they earn a name~
Lips had mouth rot when I first got her in 03'and she had the biggest lips that I had to pry open and wash!
Larry~ well~ I got Larry when my other het pied male would not work (named Visa cuz I shoulda paid the Visa off instead)~ So I got Larry to replace Visa~ so he is Larry~ cuz it's his job to "get-her-done!"

BTW~ Evan~ on 5-25 I got 7 big fat beautiful eggs from that het ghost you traded me (named her Shadow~ cuz she's not a ghost she's a "Shadow'!) by my het ghost male (Echo~ again~ he's not a ghost he's an.....Echo)! Hopefully I'll be seeing some little Hypo faces by the end of July!

Very cool! I'm waiting on the exact same thing. I've got a '98 Normal Female that was the first Ball I ever got as a ch baby. To my '05 het pied male I got at the show here in KCMO. Anyway, I've got about 3 and half more weeks til my little ones start to hatch. (8 eggs) Can't wait!!!!!

In the mean time I have to get my baby spotteds eating....little buggers!!

Awww, he's so cute! Congrats! I can't wait til my first clutch hatches... it's not due until the last week in June and it feels like forever.
