WC syspila

pc_allen Jun 06, 2007 02:31 PM

i recently caught a LT syspila and though i heard it was quite difficult to get them to feed, this one ate a live pink the next day. Just a week later and it is taking f/t pinks. My question is : would it still be okay to release this animal back to the wild even though it now accepts f/t mice? It has only been a captive for 2 weeks.
Thank you

I am by no means a biologist but snakes mostly run on instinct, eat, sleep and make babies I would bet once you release this snake back into the wild it will do fine. And to prove my point further I read and see on the news about the issues in Florida with large boids escaping or being released and being caught months, or years later, there was an article last year of a burm that killed an alligator along with itself because the prey item was to large. So I would say no worries he got a few easy meals and should be fine..
