I realize that not many people would house snakes outdoors but has anyone done it. I have your run of the mill everyday indoor enclosures for my snakes now(7x3x3ft).It was originally built for a monitor but now I use it for snakes. I also have an old monitor cage outside. It is completely secure with wire mesh surrounded by chain-link to keep raccoons out.(13x7.5x6ft tall). Would it be a smart idea to try putting some larger snakes outdoors to get the benefit of summer weather. A cage that size could house many snakes. Question, would normal bulls or mixed local do OK in Illinois weather or should I be concerned(It gets cold at times). I have some garter snakes right now but they are right out of the forest around my house. If it's a bad idea then I'll keep em' indoors and use the outdoor for something else.
