Identification of Brazilian BCC's

I've had a female Brazilian true red for about 4 years now, and never expected to breed her. A male has just come along who is larger and much more deeply colored, he was sold as a Brazilian BCC but his coloration is quite dark. Any of you Brazilian breeders know what to look for to prove or atleast justify he's a brazilian?
