neck spot / what is this in the egg?

DNReptiles Jun 06, 2007 08:06 PM

So I know spots in patterns happen and are completly random however 4 out of 8 of my babies have come out of their eggs today and ALL of them have this spot thing going on... No I am not thinking its something crazy but how common or random or odd is this?

This is the egg (dup post below) That my 28gram pastel came out of. What is all this mess in their? One thing i noticed when he pipped was he was not slimmy like they usually are. what could have happened?

Thats coagulated/fouled yolk. I bet it smelled a little too. Thats also why your baby was only 28 grams...the yolk coagulated before it could be absorbed by the baby. Most people think it has something to do with the eggs hydration. Did the egg dimple early or severely during incubation?
