The second clutch of the year is hatching as I type this. Two pipped last night, one left the egg, and it looks like the others will all pip tonight. Seven have shown themselves. It is very apparent the dam has a huge influence of the appearance of the offspring, regardless of the Jag parent used. These are way different than the last clutch I hatched. The dam was a very nice red phase coastal from a well-known line. The sire was a nice clean jaguar from Reptilicus.
I seperated the clutch as soon as they started pipping. They were incubated in sphagnum moss, and was my only artifically incubated clutch this season. A few of these eggs looked pretty bad, but the brown ones were some of the first to pip. Imagine that. Enjoy the pics!!
