Ball Python Breeder. I am a Boa guy, but 2 years ago I decided to give the Balls a try. I was able to procure some nice animals at the peak of the Ball market (alongside the housing market) and I am still here having fun.
I have bred Colombian Boas, Rosy Boas, Grey-Bands, Mtn. Kings, and now the reclusive, highly variable Ball Python. I must say, they are quite easy to breed! So, anyone out there worried about being successful at breeding Balls- don't. Just do your homework and practice good husbandry. I would have to say the hardest thing about breeding these animals is getting the females to breeding size in a timely manner, when many of them like to infrequently feed after their first year.
I really enjoyed watching these little guys hatch from their eggs (remember, I normally see live birth with the boas). The birthing/hatching process is definitley not as messy as the Boas! Anyway, here are some pics of some clutches I had this past week. (They have yet to shed.)
Cinnamons (I provided the link because I cannot get it to work here.)

Pinstripe Clutch #1 (I cannot believe some of these hatched. Look at three of these eggs! It was cool to see the Pinstripe through the window.)

Pinstripe Clutch #2

100% het Clown (I have 2 yet to come out of their eggs. They are so bright and have nice Jungle-y patterns.) Link:

I still have a couple of clutches to hatch. I was hoping I could get some of my 18 month females to breed and be of size, but I have learned it is very difficult (see aforementioned point regarding breeding Balls). Breeding Ball Pythons is a hobby of mine- they are just mellow and fun. Some of you guys should try some Boas on for size. We have had some really cool combos this year!
Congrats to all of you whom have or will have Ball babies this year!!!
