New to the forum

AandBReptiles Jun 06, 2007 10:49 PM

Hi everyone. We're new to the rainbow boa forum (we're usually over on the ball python forum). We've recently started to raise a group of BRBs, which we love! Its hard to deny that any average looking BRB trumps most of the $10,000 ball morphs on pure looks...

Thanks for looking!

Aaron and Bob

You'll find this to be a great place to come for info. Lots of good answeres to be had here. And a lot of clowning around.

Beautiful group of BRB's you have there.

Glad you see it our way, re average BRB's being stunning.

Here's one of my above average "normal" brb's for ya to enjoy...

High Orange Daisey

observation. Look at the first and last pic you just posted. The first is from awhile back and the last very recent. well unless I am having trouble with my eyesight, that snake is getting nicer and nicer as time passes, the first pic, my reaction is, that's a nice brb. The last photo brings phrases like OMG, I WANT ONE OF HER BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Frank, that is a typical progression for the top end BRB's. They just continue to get better and better into sexual maturation. Add to that the first pic is (for lack of a better word) pre-pubescent. Lastly, the later pics are progressions of her being gravid and hanging out in the moss box 24/7. She's got that with baby(s) glow about her!!

So, now you're geting caught up in the "Daisey frenzy"? Yeah, got another one hooked!!

very true, that last pic and the "glow" you say she has is quite evident, she is just breathtaking. yeah, yeah, you have lots of quality BRB. But when I look at them in series of photos, she stands out like a "turd" in a punchbowl. ( line from a movie called, "up the academy" from way back when, Still remember that line, and another line from a movie still makes me smile, I can not remember the title, was a comedy with John Laraquette ( SP?. most likely ) from Night Court. Line was, " Oh, I wish I was a loofa ( also Sp? sponge ) .

But back to Daisey, If I where a male brb, I'd [Bleep] her !!

Beautiful snake! Who bred that thing? Just for the hell of it, I'm going to guess... Will Bird. It looks a lot like some of the other babies I've seen from him. Anyway great snake to start off with. Welcome to the forum.

It's that little ring of firey orange just inside the black outlines. I have one big female that looks similar. This trait has really caught my eye lately.

Thanks a lot Mike. The animal is the pictures was actually produced by Brad Boa here in Michigan. She's really coloring up nicely! Brad does great stuff. I'm not sure if he has ever poked his head up in this forum or not... Thanks again!

I kept looking at my trio of Will's babies and kept thinking those didn't look close enough to be related but wasn't sure enough to go out on that limb. Shoulda gone with my gut!

Still very nice babies!!

I have learned a lot about Brazilian's here, also about other interesting things as well. Interestingly, I have already bred them twice in the past, and also learned a lot about them from this forum, kinda assbackwards lol.

The "welcome" that you get here is not very common amongst other forums. By the contents of your post, I think you have realized that already. By far the most "user friendly" forum on kingsnake.
