Going on two weeks after shed...help

linx Jun 07, 2007 03:06 AM

My cornsnake shed around 2 weeks ago, I put her in a seperate cage for her to lay her eggs this year as last year she caught me off guard by laying her first batch (snakes were unsexed) I moved her into the 20 gallon tank around 3-3 1/2 weeks ago. The last week she's been very active but she shows no signs shes going to lay soon at all. I've read books and articles all saying that corns are usually like clock work and lay their eggs 10 days after they shed. When should I start worrying? Is there something else I should do for her that will entice her to lay her eggs?

She must of known i finally decided to ask cuz i came home from work today and there was 7 eggs waiting for me. i know your not suppose to change the direction of how they were laid but she laid them in a pyramid shape, is it alright for some eggs to be completely covered by the vermiculite?
