Incubator ???'s

mandk Jun 07, 2007 07:34 AM

Im getting into the "ball" game....will be breeding some ball morphs this coming season....I dont have an incubator as of yet...needing to get one...Is there a good dealer on here that has them for sale or would it be cheaper to build one. Nothing too big...I have about 3 morphs as of now and 4 large adult females.....so..no more than 4 clutches...Thanks for the advice!

Hovabators are pretty inexpensive and can be found at most big online reptile supply places and sometimes farm supply stores, but a lot of people build their own incubators using old coolers (and some using old refrigerators).

I believe some people have also actually used a water-filled aquarium (heated to a certain temp) and floated plastic bins in that to maintain a temperature, which I thought was unique.

There are plans somewhere online for the cooler incubator option - though I can't find the link at the moment.
