Coolest hatching egg sequence pics ever!

Nokturnel Tom Jun 07, 2007 09:13 AM

I am so glad I had the camera handy! I have not even had my coffee yet this morning........but I checked on some eggs I knew were pipping. Saw a nice shot waiting to be taken of a Brooksi which is this one. As I positioned the camera the snake on the right popped out.

Next thing I see is this snake look like he wants to be the focus of this pic!

Now he uses his Jedi mind powers to tell me"it was so cramped in there, give a guy a hand will ya?"

I am glad to oblige! I could not believe this happened but he just crawled out of the egg quite quickly and into my hand!!!

What a great way to start my day! That was about the coolest thing I ever had happen with snakes. Awesome!

“There is a grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that whilst this planet has gone on cycling according to the fixed laws of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.” -C. Darwin, 1859

That was a little light-hearted sarcasm hehehe

That really is super cool and you are extra fortunate to have had that happen to you, PLUS the bonus of having the camera on hand.
Thanx for sharing! Now you need to name the snake something catchy like Friendly or the equivalent of that word in another language.
I dont normally name my snakes, but it seems fitting to hang onto that one now....

i'll bet there's at least one in that clutch able to use a knife and fork, to scarf down pinkies.
very cool sequence, congrats on the hatchlings. is this part of any "special project", such as 007?
egg incubation and hatching is my favorite time of year, no contest.
